Dear Friends,

At the outset, take the opportunity to wish you and your family a Happy New Year. Let 2020 bring in prosperity and well-being to all.

The December – January issue has a special focus on the work being done by Indian Diaspora settled abroad. They have been creating a niche place for themselves and are known for their contribution in science, technology, economics, management and entrepreneur spirit. We have an interview with Mr. Surendra Patwari, Chairman, Gemini Corporation, Belgium. He shares his thoughts and philosophy on recycling along with some startling data on the number of plastics being used. While the concept of recycling started in India in different spheres of life, there is more than one can be done.

This issue also covers articles on design thinking of plastics as well as new materials being developed in the area of polymers which are sustainable, contributed by people of Indian origin based internationally.

January 2020 also would also see the second-largest plastic exhibition in India with Pastivision in Mumbai. I would encourage all of you to visit and participate in the conference and exhibition on new areas of innovation and development and create business opportunities in the field.

Wishing you all the best for the start of the new year and a new decade.

Kind Regards,
Sriman Banerjee
