Dr.S.Radhakrishnan was honoured with Bharat Jyoti Award by former governor of Tamilnadu for his individual contributions to science and technology in India. He has 160 technical papers in international journals, 38 patents and was leading scientist in national laboratory. He has more than 2600 citations for his papers which have been in Science direct Top 25 for many consecutive years.

Dr.S.Radhakrishna was bestowed Rajiv Gandhi Excellence award for his contributions to the development of science and technology in India. He has been leader for many important projects at national laboratory. He has done pioneering work in the area of conducting polymers, their applications in different areas. He has guided large number of students for their doctorate research in this area.
